The Huns are an army of fast riders with a crushing attack. They suit the active attacking player who strikes and moves away quickly, but their defence is weak and they take experience.
Attack Defence Speed Easy start
Strengths
- A fast army of riders, mostly for attack.
- Fast merchants: 20 fields an hour.
Weaknesses
- Their defence is weak, and riders eat more crop than footmen.
- Their merchant carries only 500.
- They build neither a Residence nor a Palace.
Their own buildings
- Makeshift Wall: the Huns' wall, the one with the lowest bonus.
- Command Center: takes the place of the Residence and the Palace. It needs a Main Building at level 5, and trains the settlers and the Tribal Chief.
Troops
These are the Huns' ten troops as the game has them, each with what it is for:
| Unit | Attack | Def. vs infantry | Def. vs cavalry | Speed (fields/h) | Carry | Crop upkeep |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hun WarriorThe Huns' only footman: cheap, attacks and defends a little. | 35 | 40 | 30 | 6 | 50 | 1 |
| Scout RiderA very fast scout: finds out what a target holds. Does not fight. | 0 | 20 | 10 | 19 | 0 | 2 |
| Horse ArcherA cheap, fast attacking rider with weak defence. | 120 | 30 | 15 | 16 | 75 | 2 |
| Steppe RiderA balanced rider that carries a lot; attacks and defends. | 110 | 80 | 70 | 15 | 105 | 2 |
| Hun LancerA strong attacking rider. | 180 | 60 | 40 | 14 | 80 | 3 |
| Elite RiderThe Huns' strongest attacker, and expensive. | 230 | 90 | 65 | 13 | 70 | 4 |
| RamKnocks down the wall before your army reaches it. | 65 | 30 | 90 | 4 | 0 | 3 |
| CatapultWrecks buildings and fields in a normal attack. | 45 | 55 | 10 | 3 | 0 | 6 |
| Tribal ChiefThe administrator: lowers a village's loyalty until it is yours. | 50 | 40 | 30 | 5 | 0 | 5 |
| Hun SettlerFounds a new village. You need three. | 10 | 80 | 80 | 5 | 3,000 | 1 |
Base values before upgrades. Speed is in fields per hour on a ×1 world and is multiplied by the world's troop speed.
The Tribal Chief and conquest
The Tribal Chief is the Huns' administrator, trained in the Command Center. Every one that arrives in a normal attack and survives lowers loyalty by 20 to 25. Details in the chapter on your second village.
Who they suit
Experienced attacking players who log in often.
Tips for the start
- Watch your net crop before every training order: riders eat a lot.
- Horse Archers are enough for the first raids.
