- You train your hero in the Hero's Mansion from one of your soldiers.
- It gains experience in battles, and every level gives points that strengthen its whole army.
- It takes the oases around your village, which raise its production by 25% or 50%.
How to get a hero
Build a Hero's Mansion (it needs a Main Building at level 3 and a Rally Point), then choose one of the soldiers in your village to become your hero. You pay that soldier's price, and the training takes three times its usual time. The soldier's type sets the hero's strength in attack and defence, so pick an attacker if you want an attacking hero.
You have only one living hero. It eats 6 crop an hour, and leaves and returns with your army.
Experience and points
- The hero gains experience from the enemy soldiers killed in its battles, and its level rises.
- It starts with 14 points and gets two more with every level, up to 100 points.
- You share the points as you like between the attack bonus and the defence bonus, and every point raises its army's attack or defence by 1%. You can change the split at any time.
- Its own strength also grows with every level.
Health and death
The hero loses health in every battle in step with its army's losses, and recovers it over time. If it dies, you bring it back to life in the Hero's Mansion for resources and time that grow with its level, and it returns at full health.
Oases
Oases are lands around the villages where animals live. An oasis your hero takes raises your village's production:
- Oases that raise wood, clay, iron or crop by 25%.
- Oases that raise one resource by 25% and crop by 25% together.
- The big crop oasis raises crop by 50%.
The Hero's Mansion sets how many oases you can hold: one at level 10, two at 15 and three at 20. The oasis must be 3 fields or less from your village.

How to take an oasis
- Send scouts to see how many animals live there.
- Send a normal attack big enough to kill all the animals, with the hero. A raid kills most of the animals but leaves some.
- If all the animals die, the hero survives and you have room in the Hero's Mansion, the oasis is yours.
Raiding oases and their treasure
Free oases make good farms: a big army raids them for small losses and brings home the resources stored there.
- When you kill the last animals of a free oasis you find a treasure of resources worth twice the training cost of the animals you killed. A normal attack makes sure of it; a raid does not.
- Animals come back to free oases little by little, a few every minute, and an oasis you empty is full again within 4 hours.
An oasis held by another player you take with normal attacks that include the hero, which lower its loyalty until it is yours.
Adventures and items
On some worlds the hero has a bigger system: adventures that bring experience, resources, silver and items, items it wears such as helmets, armour and horses, and an auction house where you sell and buy items for silver. If your world offers them, you'll find them on the hero's page.
