- Every Marketplace level gives you a merchant who carries resources to any village.
- Trade offers swap one resource for another with other players.
- The gold merchant redistributes your village's resources as you like.
Merchants
Every level of the Marketplace gives one merchant, up to 20. A merchant's load and speed depend on the tribe:
- Arabs: 1100, at 17 fields an hour.
- Teutons: 1000, at 12 fields an hour.
- Gauls: 750, at 24 fields an hour.
- Romans: 500, at 16 fields an hour.
The other tribes' numbers are in each tribe's guide. The Trade Office raises the load up to three times.
Sending resources
From the Marketplace you send resources to your own villages or your allies'. You need one merchant per load, and the merchant comes back after the delivery. You can't receive more from other players in a week than you produce yourself in one day, so the market can't be used to build one account up at another's expense.
Trade offers
Offer one resource for another, at a ratio between 1 to 2 and 2 to 1. You can set the longest delivery time, or make the offer for your alliance only. What you offer stays reserved with its merchants until someone accepts it or you cancel it.
The gold merchant
For a little gold, this merchant redistributes your village's resources among the four kinds as you like, at once and without waiting. Useful when you have plenty of one resource and lack another.
Trade routes
With the Gold Club and two or more villages, you set up a route that sends resources between your villages automatically every day at the hour you choose.
